Nomadic Research

Every year or so I wander over to Steven Roberts’ Nomadic Research Labs site and Anarchives. I gawk at his various bouts of awesomeness and am humbled and inspired. My favorite is his Winnebiko II which I ran across in a Backpacker magazine article my grandmother had in her giant stack of magazines in her living room. That article about Steven’s Computing Across America life and SRL’s “A Bitter Message of Hopeless Grief” VHS tape my buddy Keith Allison scored for me solidified my interest in technology as way to create the world I wanted to live in.
